The ship’s main engine is a MAK 8-M25 with an output of 2038 hp or 1499 kW. Thanks to moveable bulkheads and decks the ship can be used as a combi freighter (tweendecker), to carry containers, bulk or break-bulk cargo. She is equipped with a 10-tonne gantry crane to move her hatch covers.

After her maiden voyage from China to Europe she was taken to the B.V. Scheepswerf Damen Hoogezand, Foxhol in the Netherlands for an upgrade, 25.11.1999 sea trials, 27.11.1999 trials with customers, 29.11.1999 again trials. The ship was officially christened on December 15th 1999 in Rotterdam by Mrs. Claudia Wengle-Böhi. The m/v CLAUDIA was the fourth of a series of four combi freighters to be run by Enzian Shipping AG (the others being the m/v MARIE-JEANNE, the m/v KATHRIN and the m/v ALESSIA).

On 7. October 2013 sold to Miss Sharon BV, Delfzijl (Management: Flagship Management Co BV, Farmsum) and renamed SHARON.

Purchased on November 20, 2015 by Eems Beheer VII BV, Delfzijl (Management: Wagenborg Shipping BV, Delfzijl / Technical management: SCG Management BV, Groningen). Name and homeport unchanged.
